Newsletter Coming Soon!
I’ve been working hard on a newsletter that will revolve around all my blogs. I’ve decide to go with Zookoda to see how it works out. First, I’ll tell you about Zookoda for those of you who are considering doing the very same thing. Remember, it doesn’t matter what your blog is about, you can provide additional information in a newsletter that is especially for you subscribers that you don’t share on your blog.
You can use it for your main RSS subscribers or you can use for special things like I have planned. A few things they offer are:
- Scheduling reoccuring broadcast at anytime.
- Access mobile users by emailing blog content in text
- Real-time stats
I’m realling looking forward to seeing the real time stats. It will allow me to see how many have opened, clicked, and unsubscribed. It will also let me know if any have bounced back to me. The scheduling feature is pretty cool. Let’s say I have a contest going on that will last 30 days. I can send out a weekly reminder to people to enter. Some people mean to do things and just forget so this would be very handy to have.
CREATINGING A SUBSCRIPTION FORM
It’s sooooo easy to do that even a noob can do it with no problem. You simply click on the template you want and viola! If you are html savvy, you can edit the code with your own colors, etc. I haven’t edited the colors of mine but this is what it looks like. Just enter your name and then your email!
As you can see, it’s very simple and to the point. I don’t need something flashy, just a space for your email will get the job done. If you choose to do so, you can also display your subscriber count. I have none, so I won’t do that yet.
CUSTOMIZATION
You can make your newsletter’s appearance very close to your own blog’s appearance if you want to. You can also add pictures and links just like you would if you were blogging and using a paid service. It’s really not hard at all, in fact, you can choose a premade template for ease.

Looking at the dashboard for it, you’ll see below that it is very user friendly. You have tabs for everything and it’s all very clear so you don’t have to worry about screwing something up.

ABOUT MY FUTURE NEWSLETTER—BAAM
I have 4 blogs that the newsletter will revolve around. I will be offering a something that relates to each type of blog. Examples:
- Blogging with Cents–I may offer a way tricky way to earn some extra cash online, a special advertising discount to only my subscribers, or maybe a freebie.
- A Cowboy’s Wife–I may share a story that I wouldn’t share on my blog, household tips, photography extras or perhaps gossip…who knows;)
- All Chick Stuff–Special discounts to places that I get from being an affiliate, coupons to clothing shops-kids stuff-makeup-and more. Also some “woman” tips, weightloss extras, and more!
- My Wooden Spoon–I may share a special recipe, healthy eating tips, more discounts & coupons, menu ideas, and more!
As you can see, that’s why it will be called BAAM!
These are just things off the top of my head. As I get closer to creating the newsletter it will get better, I promise. First I need subscribers, so if you’re interested, please go ahead and subscribe in the box above with your first name and email address. I’ll keep everyone updated as to when my first one will go out.
CONCLUSION
It’s obvious that money making blogs are not the only ones that can create and send newsletters. There are so many things you can include that I recommend you give it a try. If not as a newsletter per-say, then maybe as your main RSS subscriber base. NOTE: IT’S FREE!!! You just can’t beat free and for all that’s offered here, that’s a heck of deal folks!
