Walt Disney Caballeros Collection DVD

EDITED:  This giveaway is over.  I appreciate all who entered.  Winners will be announced shortly.

I had the recent opportunity to see the Walt Disney film of “The Caballeros Collection”, which includes Saludos Amigos and The Three Caballeros.  This has a release date of April 29, 2008 so you’ll have wait until then to get one.  It’s not only fun to watch, it’s also a cool learning experience so I recommend it.  Coming from a Spanish background, I enjoy it that much more.

I waited for my 2 youngest to be around before I watched it so I could see their reaction.  We watched The Three Caballeros first.  I wasn’t surprised at all that my 18mth old was intrigued because there was quite a bit of music and singing happening.  The first thing I noticed was the narrator voice, whom I assume was Walt Disney himself.  It reminded me of when Jiminy Cricket would tell his stories.  The stories take place through South America and give you a real latin feel. I absolutely loved Panchito & his donkey and probably my most favorite thing about the entire collection, was the learning experience.  Even my 12 year old said they were learning about South America in Geography class so he knew exactly what they were talking about.  Heck, I even learned the capital of Peru!  Of course, I’ve know what it was but sometimes you forget so it was fun to be reminded.

In Saludos Amigos, there are 4 adventures that take you through the Bolivian Andes to the Argentine pampas.  We loved them both!  Some bonus features include:

  • “South of the Border with Disney” Featurette - Take a tour with the Walt & friends through Latin America.
  • Walt Disney Interview
  • “Don Donald” - Donald Duck short cartoon
  • “Contrary Condor” - Donald Duck short cartoon

What better way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo than with this Caballeros Collection.  Not only will you and the family enjoy a classic, I guarantee that you all will learn at least one thing that you didnt’ know before.

So now you want to know how to win right?  Well, lucky for you, I have 3 copies to give away!!  Woohoo, I love giveaways:)  It’s SOOOO easy to win one of these DVD’S.

  14. Oh Lori! I just NOW had time to go and get caught up on all the posts I have missed! I hope your dad is doing better, but I can certainly understand your feelings towards him…my own feelings towards my own dad are mixed at best. Regardless, I hope he is doing better if that is God’s will.

On to better things…your mom’s picture is ABSOLUTELY adorable! Do you get to see her often? I lost my biological mom back in ‘99 and I still miss her every single day. My adopted mom and I are close, but it’s just different. My real mom knew my heart because I was just like her.

The pictures of your “CowBOY” are just beautiful, what a wonderful, wonderful and handsome son you have there! Your family is just beautiful, you are truly, truly blessed!

I don’t know if I am entering this contest or not by doing this, but either way I just wanted you to know you have been on my mind and to apologize for my lack of visits and comments, I totally love your blog and your honest view of life in general, let’s hope things get back to normal for me and stay that way and here is to a long and lasting friendship!

    Con mucho carino,
    Tu amiga,
    Meg

  15. Hi Meg:)

I’m glad to see you’re getting caught up with things here in life;)

I don’t see my mom that often but I talk to her daily on the phone, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day..lol. I love her more than she knows….

And thank you for the compliment on my son/family. I haven’t let him read the comments on that post because his head would get so big that his hat wouldn’t fit on right!

Consider yourself entered! No need to apologize either. I am the world’s worst at visiting and commenting even though I have every intention to do it.

Thank you for being a reader and a friend. I look forward to a long lasting friendship as well.

    Gracias por su amistad,

    Lori

I know things will be fine with you as long as you take care of yourself and don’t over do it. Prayers might help as well;)
