A New Day

So after yesterday’s crying and rants, I’ve had time to settle down and think and reflect.    I wanted to thank everyone for their kinds words of encouragement, prayers, and even the ones that ranted right along with me.  I also got some critisism about my language yesterday and I only have two things to say.  I gave you full warning in the title,  I do apologize to those people but I can do what I want–After all, I am an adult and it’s MY blog.   Not trying to be harsh, just honest.  I realize I have a lot of faithful readers so I can understand where you’re coming from…….I hope you can do the same.

We have a job lead and it happens to be from one of my readers.  Neato!  Just like with any other job, the hard part is waiting….waiting for them to call back or to just decide but it’s all apart of job hunting.

We had originally planned to take a load to SWT tomorrow but since we have this job lead, we’ll be waiting to hear back from it.  Either way, I NEED to get my butt in gear and pack!  I am SOOOO unmotivated though.  I look around and go, “WHERE DID ALL THIS STUFF COME FROM?!”.    Gosh, I hate moving especially when you have crappy boxes to use.  We also have the added extras of my man’s shop equipment…..lord, where will I put that stuff!

l’m still taking some guest posts so if you have something that you want to contribute to A Cowboy’s Wife, Blogging with Cents, My Wooden Spoon, or All Chick Stuff; please email them to lori [at] acowboyswife [dot] com and be sure to put guest post in the subject.  Include your post, for what blog, and your byline. Feel free to include pictures just keep the size a 468 width max.

Anyways, I feel like I owe this job lead and my new positive thoughts to all of you who prayed for us, gave us shoutouts, and just felt something for us.  Thank you:)

I hope you all have a wonderful day and thanks again to all my readers!  You all rock!

  2. Lori -
Just catching up on my blog reading and read your posts. So sorry this is happening. I hate job politics, so sorry it’s happening to
you and your family. And being that I literally just moved 2 weeks ago, and am still swimming in boxes - I am right there with you on the HATING packing and moving! I keep standing by tons of boxes wondering “where the heck did this crap come from?” :o)
    Hang in there!

  3. You know we are going to stick behind you girl, that’s what friends are for! You know one of us is always around if you need us! And you’ve got my cell number so if you need to vent to someone immediately I’m here for ya girl!

  4. A window always opens… you just gotta make sure you see it! :)

I just wanted to say ‘hey’ again - and wish you guys well. One side of my family is the ‘cowboy’ side - we have everything from rodeo clowns to breaking horses to ranch hands and everything inbetween you can do to try to earn a living country western style… horses and the ranch life literally IS their lives.

    Good Luck Lori! :)

  5. Glad you’re feeling a bit better! I read the sad news the other day and I could feel how mad (well, let’s say it, pissed off) you were.

Sometimes, shit happens… but eventually, what goes around comes around. You weren’t the bad people in the story.

Anyway, I tagged you for a small meme, it’s been a while! ;-)
