5-Minute Chocolate Trifle

This Chocolate Trifle is to die for!!!  SOOOOOOO, delicious and such an easy recipe!  5 minutes with 5-ingredients!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 store-bought chocolate cake
  • 1/2 cup Kahlua (or any strong coffee)
  • 2-3 (4-pack) packages snack size chocolate pudding
  • 1 (12-ounce) carton frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1/2 (8-ounce) package Heath toffee bits

DIRECTIONS:

Break cake into chunks, and layer 1/2 into a trifle dish.  Pour 1/2 the coffee over this, then 1/2 the coffee over this, then  1/2 the whipped topping, then 1/2 of the toffee bits.  Layer again.  That’s it!

Note:  You can get chocolate cake at many supermarket bakeries.  But if you can’t find it, this can be done with pound cake, bought brownies or Twinkies, or even frozen cakes.  You can make your own cake and pudding, but it will take a tad longer.

What are you trying to do to me! I have lost 7 pounds. That dish alone would put the whole 7 back on again.

I must admit that this would be an easy thing to take for a dessert somewhere.

Yes I love the Kahlua addition! I’ve sort of been off serious chocolate since V-Day but this just might be the recipe to pull me back in :)

That’s an impressive looking cake. I think it would be a challenge to get through all of those layers, but it would be a challenge worth undertaking.

I’d like to see someone take the twinkie approach to building a cake like this.

My sister makes the same exact thing except for the coffee. I will have to try it w/ the liquid added to it! Love your blog btw :0)
