7 Minutes with Carson Kressley and an Evening with Nikon

Carson KressleyCarson Kressley is not only telling you “How to Look Good Naked“,  he’s also telling you how to “Look Good in Pictures” and I hope he shares a few tips with me during my 7 minute interview with him at Blogher!  Lord knows I could use the help in that department.

Anyways, on Friday evening while at Blogher, I’ll have the absolutely wonderful opportunity to hang out at the Nikon party, play with the latest Nikon gear, and meet & interview Carson Kressley.

I am so excited that I can barely stand it!  Carson wants us to look good in pictures and is giving tips and answering questions so if you have a question you want me to ask him, leave it here in the comments and I’ll do my best.  On the list so far is how to hide a double chin, the best stance for women, and do we really need to cake on the makeup for photos?   If you check out the site, you’ll find tons of video tips and advice to help you look your best in photos.  That newborn baby is ADORABLE!!  Lots of interaction going on over there with comments and rating. You can even ask Carson a question!  I found several interesting videos about what celebrities think it takes too look good in photos. My favorite answer was CONFIDENCE.  Something I lack for sure but will get better once I lose more weight.

Getting the chance to play with Nikon gear fills me with  butterflies of excitement. Seriously.  Being able to speak with Nikon representatives about their products is awesome and meeting a stylist guru rawks!

Anyways, I’m stokked about the entire event and look forward to finding out if I’ll be a fashion do or don’t for the evening. Surely he’ll tell me the truth right??

  1. I’d like to know if “cheese” is the best word to say to get a good smile. I’ve heard that you should say “happy” or try to laugh to get a natural looking smile. I wonder what Carson has to sya about that.

  2. I have never seen you as a fashion don’t! I’m certain you will be a fashion do, and look fabulous, as always. Can’t wait to see you!

I have a question for the fabulous Carson!! They say the “camera” adds “pounds” on you, so what kind of clothes should women wear in pictures that are going to make “us” look slimmer than we really are?

He is so awesome! I’m totally jealous.

I was told that the best photos are taken when you are “coming out of a laugh” – is this true?

And, I’d love to know the best stance for photos to slim down. (side view, hand on hip, one foot in front of the other).

I need the help. Bad. =)

  7. I was going to ask about hiding a double chin! I’ll be waiting for your answer. Have fun and tell him his show and his book about being different for children are great.

  1. [...] As many of the women who attended the BlogHer conference came with their families, two women wanted to attend the Nikon Night Out event with their young children.  While we politely informed them that they could not bring their babies to the cocktail event, one woman, in what she thought was a joke, tweeted #nikonhatesbabies from her Twitter account. This resulted in a storm of tweets and some misinformed blog posts from women who did not attend the event nor knew the full account of what happened. This is really unfortunate as the anticipation and excitement leading up to the event by those invited was tremendous. [...]
