Addressing the Reader Feedback from Survey

Well, I must say that I should have put on my big girl panties before reading the feedback.  I knew there was going to be criticism and all but geez.  There were a lot of great compliments too and I appreciate all of it, just wasn’t quite prepared to hear some of it I guess.  I know that this is MY blog and it needs to make me happy first but since I respect my readers, I want you to love it too.  I also know that I can’t please everyone but I will definitely try to incorporate as much of what you requested into this blog to make it better.

With that said, let’s get started with some of the basics that I read and were common.

Yes, I do have a way to print.  When you click on a post, there is a small printer icon there.  It will print the post without the pictures.  I’m working on a new way to do this but this gets the job done.  Here’s a screenshot so you can see it where it’s at.

There seems to be much confusion about where to find my recipes so let me show you.  When you hover your mouse over the “Recipes” name in the nav bar under my header, you have 3 options.

  1. Recipes
  2. Submit a Recipe
  3. Recipe Ebooks

YES, you can click on Recipes to go to my recipe index.

I am working on a new recipe index that includes pictures.  I’ve received tons of feedback on this and many of you have requested a thumbnail or something to click on to view the recipe.  Will work on it!

I have written a post about this but you can find my standard giveaway rules and blog policies under the “About” link in the nav bar.

You can find all of these in my sidebar.  Each one is a tab.

Two things I will work on are:

  • Gallery Pictures
  • Recipe Photo Index

I’ll end this for now but will follow up later with more feedback from you guys.  Like I said, I appreciate all the feedback I received and I’m grateful for you taking the time to fill out the survey.

I’m sorry I’ve been MIA lately but things will resume back to normal soon.  I appreciate your patience during this time off.

Have a great weekend!

:) Readers can be brutal, can’t we/they? Just remember: advice is worth exactly what you pay for it. :D If they don’t like your blog, they don’t have to read it!!!!
    Have a great weekend, Lori!

We appreciate all your effort. Some people just like to be critical because they have nothing else to do. Thank you for all the recipes and interesting ideas and info you put on your blog.I hope you will ignore the bad and know that your efforts are greatly appreciated. Thank you Lori!

I love your blog and really enjoy your recipes. Don’t take negative comments too personally. Too often people only take time to give negative feedback, not positive. Keep up the good work and keep your chin up!

i think your blog is great. i love the recipes you show. they are easy to follow, instructions are easy and the recipes themselves are ones that a “common” person-like myself, can make and love!

Love your blog! You won’t hear any complaints from me. I can’t imagine how much work it takes to keep up with a blog, especially one that is very popular, and with real life. :)
