Guess I should update his site by adding these lovely pair of spurs!

We don’t have the fanciest setup but it works and that’s all that matters. The room he had before was so small that only two people could fit in there with all that machinery. Now it’s a huge space decked out with a small card table and chairs just in case I want to sit and watch him make something. Or maybe it’s really for any fellas that stop and want to have a beer in the evenings……either way, it’s there with a set of dominoes to complete it.

Just some of the tools of the trade. Taken during the setup process…..

Tool of the trade?  Well of course he is….he’s such a big helper and all, at least at moving things around and hauling in dirt food.

My initial thoughts just by looking at the jeans –

• Material felt strong/thick ( I hate thin jeans) Was happy to see these were not thin!
• Nice dark denim
• classic fit with a trendy pocket design

Cowboy wore the jeans and really liked them. They were a relaxed fit and I think they actually run a little big.  My husband needed a size smaller, as well as both my boys.

Since we’ve gotten the jeans, we have washed and dried them (in the dryer) and there has been NO shrinking.  This is probably one of my biggest peeves…jeans that shrink.  So happy that these don’t do that and that alone gives Stetson Jeans a big ol’ fat A+ in my book!

So how do they look on Cowboy???  Well judge for yourself.

Do you have pieces like that?  Pieces of decor that tell a story?  I’m sure we all have something and I would love to hear a story about one of your decor pieces.

Mine are Laredo…I don’t normally like Laredo but these felt good on the feet at the time I bought them.  If I could recommend a boot, it would be Ariat.  They are THE most comfortable, durable boot ever.  When I worked at Dandy’s Western Wear, I was quite the salesWOman…in fact, a man who only wore Tony Lama his whole life, switched to the pair of Ariats I showed him.  I MADE him try them on and he instantly fell in love.  He even went back a few months later to say hey and let me know he loved the boots.

Anyways, here are my boots…..

And here are my man’s cowboy boots.  He doesn’t wear store bought cowboy boots…he gets them handmade like most real cowboys.  They were made by Henry Jennings out of Stinnet, TX.  I like the green but my favorite pair he had were a pair of yellow tops when we first met.  I loved those boots.  It’s about time for a new pair of boots as you can see.  A GOOD pair of handmade cowboy boots cost on average, about $550.

Let’s take a look at my oldest son’s work first.  He was dying to make his own pair of spurs, and I mean dying..he was begging like a little boy…hee hee.  Here are his first pair of spurs!

And now let’s take a look at my middle son’s work.  He decided that he’s not into spurs or buckles, or bits, so since he loves me so much, he made me a kitchen knife!  Isn’t he sweet.  There is no silver on this…it’s all metal.

And finally one of my man‘s latest pieces made for one of our family members who works on the King Ranch.  He’s also an avid coon hunter!

Before you know it, we’ll have to get a truck rental to haul them and their stuff to trade shows!  HA!!

Anyways, I don’t feel like blogging…..just gonna leave you with these “lucky” spurs:)

I’ve got a new store coming soon and one section will be devoted to my husband’s trade of bit and spur making.  It won’t be nothin’ fancy but it will be a page people can go to if they want to order something.  I’m trying to talk him into expanding and making some jewelry but it’s not flying too well.  He could put everything from turquoise to freshwater pearls on bracelets, earrings, and necklaces but I think it’s a no go.  Oh well, I tried.

Anyways, I thought I’d share some of the recent stuff my man has whipped out just in case you wanna place an order in the future;)
