Celebrate Being a Mom Every Day

I actually got this kit for Mother’s Day and I think it’s GREAT that we celebrate that day. We all know that we Moms are totally deserving.  I got to thinking though, why does it have to be around Mother’s Day only?  Why not just every day?  Have you ever noticed when you change up your makeup, try new colors, or give your hair a new do that it makes you feel fabulous?  I don’t see why we can’t change every couple of weeks or once a month!

I received this fabulous beauty kit to celebrate being a mom.  It had mascara, foundation, hair care, lip color, cleansing wipes, and moisturizing cream AND a lovely backdrop just so I could take my photo in front.  As a blogger, I have to say THANK YOU for doing it right.  You made me feel special with the personalization, the kit, and the backdrop so that I can model it up!

As a Mom, I can also give a big thank you for making me feel pretty.   SO PRETTY.  It’s very seldom that I confidently say that I like the way I look but I really did like the way I looked!

First off, wash that hair ladies!  I LOVED the Pantene Aqua Light Shampoo & Conditioner!  I’m pretty picky about what I use on my hair.  Some hair products make my hair feel coarse and dry, some greasy but this (and most Pantene products) made my hair feel light, smooth, and soft!  If you have seen ANY of my photos, then you’ll know how frizzed out my hair can get and how dull it can look.  Clearly I do not have that issue here in this photo. A few things to know:

  • Clean-rinse formula
  • Lightly conditions to nourish hair when wet
  • Cleanses gently
  • Zero weight
  • 100% more nourishment
  • Dye free
  • Silicone free

Olay’s Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream is AMAZING!!!! Holy cow this stuff is good!  I have noticed a huge difference using this. In fact, I have now switched out my old one for this.  I love when I discover a new favorite!  This is actually award winning and is probably THE BEST ever moisturizer I have ever used.  Some things to know:

  • Daily hydrating anti-aging cream
  • Reduces wrinkles
  • Firming micro-sculpting formula tightens saggy skin
  • Amino-peptide complex tightens and
  • For all skin types

Now I have used a mineral foundation for the past several years and in the day, on the ranch a quick run to town, I’ll probably continue to use mineral.  BUT, I was very impressed with the Covergirl and Olay Simply Ageless Tone Rehab Foundation.  Whew, that was a mouthful!  I literally squirt one little drop and cover my whole face with that drop.  It has smooth coverage and feels wonderful going on.  I think it’s my go-to foundation for everything but the ranch.  Although, it would probably be better to wear on the ranch and protect my face from all the crud out here.  Anyways, it must be something ’cause I’ve gotten a compliment or two on my complexion. YEAH BABY!

I don’t wear much mascara but I did wear it a few times with no issues.  Normally mascara can be flaky but I didn’t notice that at all. It’s the LashBlast 24-hr Mascara and I know several of my beauty crazed friends love it.  I have tried several variations from LashBlast and all have been great. This one separated my lashes well, lengthened a bit, and volumized a bit.  I will say though, it was tough stuff to get off.  Maybe I put too many coats, I don’t know but it STAYS ON!

I’m a big fan of the Covergirl Blast Flipstick.  I love that I can blend colors, use one color, or use the darker one on bottom and touch up the center part of lips with lighter color.

Overall, the lipstick, foundation, and micro-sculpting cream are my FAVES!  Have you tried any of these? I’d love to hear what you think!
