Любое искусство, особенно не совсем традиционное, всегда вызывало ожесточенные споры. Думаю, оно просто имеет право на существование, вот и всё!

As someone who worked at a fast food place for two years I know that people withOUT hearing disabilities have trouble hearing thru the speaker. I've taken so many orders from the window when that's happened - sure it slows down window time, but who cares? It's a food place, it's called CUSTOMER SERVICE! So, it should especially ESPECIALLY happen when someone with a disability comes through. She has every right to use the drive through as anyone else!

It's not a "fuss" and should be "expected" because it's their JOB as a person who works in the food SERVICE field.

Sorry, this kinda stuff just gets my goat. People seriously lack common sense and common courtesy nowadays.

Jennifer,

It may seem like a fuss about nothing to you, but to me, it's a violation of my civil rights. I have every right to access the same things that people with "normal" hearing do. I have done that many times before with other fast food establishments and have always gotten served. This was the first time that I was denied service because of my disability. And to discriminate like that is wrong.

First off wow! I get my own post...

I guess I don't get it at all, why would you want to order at the window if you are using the drive through?? The dumb speaker box is what makes a drive through fast, so they can have your order ready by the time you get to the window. By using the window, you save no time basically and hold up all the people behind you who used the dumb speaker. It seems very inconsiderate to me.

I do think they should have taken the order and all that, so I am not totally disagreeing that there should have been service. My question is why would it be expected?

I guess for me personally, I hate drive up windows and rarely go through them, probably haven't been through one in over a year. I choose walking in and looking the person in the eye everytime, they are about double as accurate with orders and it is much more personable.

It isn't at all like denying someone at the library service because they are in a wheel chair. The library has librarians that are there to help everyone and wheel chairs don't hold up anyone. The librarians are very helpful to everyone and will get books down even for people who can reach them.

This is all just crazy to me. It is a fuss about nothing.
