Truett has been waiting for his Halloween costume for weeks now. When I first asked him what he wanted to be, he immediately said Captain America and has never changed his mind. He spent an entire day in his costume, saving the ranch from fires and dangerous bears because he’s not just some 6 year old ranch kid, he IS Captain America.
Walmart has made some fun improvements to their costumes, while keeping the cost down. Captain America has mighty muscles that will make even the puniest strut around. In fact, they have another Captain America costume that has even puffier muscles than this one! The only thing I didn’t like about this particular set, is that I had to buy the shield separate, and unfortunately, our Walmart didn’t even have it in the costume section. I had to go to the toys section to buy it. I’d really like to have seen it in the package, or at least in our seasonal section. Otherwise, the costume is fantastic and Truett was thrilled. He felt like the coolest hero on the block, and that’s saying something y’all….after all, our ‘block’ is pretty darn big!
I saw him even scolding the cats, telling them they needed to behave. He threw his shield at the invisible tigers and totally saved us from being attacked. And after a long day of saving the ranch and protecting us from wild animals, he walked in the house, stripped down to his undies, and said, “Captain America needs a break.”.
We love this time of year and can’t wait to decorate the rest of the house in Halloween decor. I love the decor!! When setting up the kiddos school parties, consider fixing it up just a bit. A simple background and use of Halloween serving pieces can make a huge difference! All these items were bought at Walmart and for next to nothing I might add. Look how fun that is!
And for the house, you can buy Cauldrons and Spiders!
What do you or your child want to be for Halloween?

He’s a super hero I wouldn’t want to mess with. I think he could take me, I really do. He looks great.
