You make a good point with the timing issue. I think the same thing applies to kids as well.

Most men agree with this post, it's the women that have a hard time with it;)..LOL

Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

Great post, I'm a man, married 1 year with new baby.
The nagging part i agree with but not so much on the details...I totally understand when my wife asks me to pick up socks etc. I think the main point here with the nagging is the *timing* of it. Women tend to do it *often* and at bad times (e.g. after first sitting down to relax after working forever). Men are very careful when dealing with people to make sure it's a good time to nag and they expect the same consideration.

And the sex thing is huge, we need to see that you are serious and hold it high priority about pleasuring us. We are very serious about pleasuring you.

Of course you need to have a strong relationship more than anything, physical, emotional, and cultural attachment.

Thank you!
I recently met a man I like - and I think he's the one I've been looking for. I also realize that I was never that nice to men I dated in the past, no wonder those relationships didn't last very long. This man inspires me to want to do things - like get a manicure! I will definitely take your advice. I especially needed the parts about respect, letting him be dah man and not nagging :)

Puss--Yes, I realize that and I don't believe I said ALL couples do. I merely stated some things that keep MY man happy and we do work. Thank you for your opinion and taking the time to comment.

I've been married nearly as long as you and if I followed your advice, I'd be divorced. Not all couples work the way you think they do.

I agree that respect is the focal point. A couple of years ago, I went on a short trip with two of my best friends from high school. We went to Canton, TX, to this gigantic flea market for which Canton is famous. We stayed at a B&B and that night sat in the hot tub catching up on each other's lives. It was a wonderful trip! When I first shared the plans for the trip with my husband, he thought it was a great idea! And his thoughts are important to me, just as my thoughts are important to him. Yes, my husband is the head of our home and I respect him for that, but he doesn't lord it over me. We have mutual respect, mutual decision making and work as a team.
