These mash potatoes are just heavenly. I love baked potatoes but hate the work so this is a great alternative. I use mash potatoes as a filler for many meals, otherwise, my boys would never be full!
INGREDIENTS:
- Red potatoes
- Sour cream
- Parsley
- Butter
- Bacos – Bacon Bits (optional but SOOO GOOD!)
DIRECTIONS:
Clean potatoes, cube, and boil until done. Add sour cream, butter, parsley, and mash them up. Sprinkle bacos if you want and enjoy. Man, that was easy.

Well, I could have shown myself dumping sour cream and butter into the recipe but really, is that necessary? I used these mash potatoe with that shrimp scampi!…Great filler:)

This is a great idea! You know what Mitch Hedberg said about baked potatoes…”I like baked potatoes, man. It takes forever to cook a baked potato in a conventional oven. Sometimes I

I make this all the time! Only I just boil the potatoes and add butter and milk. Oh, and some salt & pepper to taste. It takes about 15 minutes, which is perfect if you have a busy life!

I make something similar but do it all manually. I don’t have a food processor. I use my old potatoe smasher and it kills my hand.
I posted this on my blog, I can’t get the banner to show up though. I did put the link to your page though.
Thanks for all the great giveaways!

I use those Idaho Instant Potatoes, and they really are pretty good. Not like most of those instant ones. Try it sometime. And THEN if I can add what you suggested, to those instant potatoes, I’ll bet they will REALLY taste super good. Thanks for telling us about your system. I guess you just use your judgement when it comes to adding the sour cream?

I agree this is a fast way to make mashed potatoes. I’m lactose intolerant, so I use margarine and soy milk to make them creamy and no one can ever tell the difference!

You can also bake ur potatos in the microwave, just make sure you prick them first and rest them after to finsh cooking. Its very quick and easy and if you happen to be in a ruch it will save on the hassle of chopping, boilng, straining, mashing and so on. Google it for specific times.
