Meal Solutions – Chili Bake

It’s meal solution time!!  This week the theme was “chili”.  Because Wolf Chili is, well, already chili, I had to think of a creative way to use it.  I decided on a chili bake that turned out pretty okay.

  • Wolf Plain Chili No Beans, 24 oz., $2.20
  • Wolf Chili With Beans, 25 oz. $2.47
  • Great Value Whole Kernel Corn, 15.25 oz., $0.82
  • Great Value Saltine, 16 oz., $1.38
  • Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix, 8.5 oz., $0.42
  • Pillsbury Fudge Brownie Mix, 19.5 oz., $1.37

PRODUCTS I’M ADDING/SUBSTITUTING

I decided to use the Wolf Chili with Beans, Whole Kernel Corn as a side, and the Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix.   I also added some cheddar cheese and a can of black beans.

MY MEAL SOLUTION

I combined the 2 cans of Wolf Chili, 1 can of black beans, and just a little cheddar cheese together and placed in a casserole dish.  I mixed my one box of Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix and poured on top of chili mixture.  Baked according to Corn Muffin mix instructions which was 400′ for 20-30 minutes.  It’s super easy.

I thought about adding the corn to this as well. I think it could be a great all in one dish but I didn’t. Instead, I added it as a side.

I’d love to know what YOUR meal solution would be.
