Meal Solutions – Christmas Sides, What Will You Be Making?

Christmas is almost here and that means gifts, family, and food!  Oh man, the food.  I don’t know about you but I always overeat during this time so I’ll be glad when it’s over and I can start the New Year off fresh!  Until then, here are a couple of sides that I’ll be making just in case you need a few meal solutions.

With the 4-pack of Green Giant green beans that are on sale ($2) and the Swanson Chicken Broth ($.50) at our Walmart, I’ll be making Green Bean Casserole.

To crave the appetites of the little ones while the big meal is being done, I’ll probably make some pigs in a blanket.  The Lit’l Smokies are on sale for $2.50 and the Pillsbury Crescent Rolls are on sale for a $1.58!  WOOT!

For dessert, I’ll be using Daisy Sour Cream on sale for $1.58 to make Sour Cream Apple Pie with Streusel Crumble Topping.

What are some of the sides that you’ll be making?

I’m doing all appetizers this year. I’m making boneless buffalo chicken, crab rangoon and potato casserole among other things.

Hi! I’m doing side dishes for a prime rib dinner and dessert. My plan is Yorkshire puddings, spinach souffle, roasted fingerling potatoes and creamed corn. For dessert it’s Chocolate Peppermint Pie. I can feel the calories already!!
