My Desktop Meme

I’ve been tagged by Zhu with a neat My Desktop meme.

Desktop

I change my background constantly.  Right now, it’s a plain ol’ paisley theme.  I have quite a few icons.

  • Bearshare
  • Audacy
  • Memory Mixer (scrapbooking)
  • Hallmark Card Studio
  • Weather
  • Google Earth
  • Roller Coaster Tycoon
  • Ades ClrPicker
  • Paint.net
  • Pictures
  • Window Media Player

These name just a few.  The first of October, I will be changing it to a Halloween theme:)  What’s on your desktop?

My turn to tag:

  1. Kat
  2. Leigh
  3. Lisa
  4. Jade
  5. Tina

Here are the meme rules:

Upon receiving this tag, immediately perform a screen capture of your desktop. It is best that no icons be deleted before the screen capture so as to add to the element of fun. Here's how you can do a screen capture:

  1. Go to your desktop and press the Print Scrn key (located on the right side of the F12 key).
  2. Open a graphics program (like Picture Manager, Paint, or Photoshop) and doing a Paste (CTRL + V). If you wish, you can “edit” the image before saving it.
  3. Post the picture on your blog. You can also give a short explanation on the look of your desktop if you want. You can explain why you prefer such a look or why it is full of icons. Things like that.
  4. Tag five of your friends and ask them to give you a Free View of their desktops as well.

  1. And I though you’d have some cute cowboy as wallpaper…

  2. Sorry:(

I’m still trying to figure out the smiley thing. I downloaded smiley-themer plugin and activated the smilies but they’re not showin up…arrgghh

I don’t think I can do it the way you did it.

  3. Basically, I replaced my existing smileys with the new ones.

I picked let’s say 20 smileys I liked from the folders I send you last time. Smileys on WP have names such as “icon_biggrin” etc.

I just renamed the smileys I liked (the new one), put everything in a folder and upload via FTP. It replaced the old smileys since they have the same name.

That’s the easier way to do it… If you want to add more smileys, it’s too complicated for me !

  4. Oh! I arrange my icons the same way! Everyone else I know sticks with the same all on the left arrangement and I like for mine to frame the screen!

I’ll have mine up soon =)

  5. Yeah, I have some organization to mine. I hate icons in the middle though:)
