Office Depot Desk Makeover, Before and After
Last week I told you about the desk I purchased from Office Depot and how much I saved. This week, I’m showing you the before and after. I can’t believe I’m doing this because the before shot is just horrible! WHAT A MESS!
The desk was delivered by a HUGE semi but was on time and with very nice service. It was so heavy but once it was in the house, I stared at it for a while wondering if I was capable of putting it together by myself. The Cowboy was working all day that day and I just couldn’t wait around for him. I had the drill charging for two days and was eager to get it up.
I have to say, this desk and hutch were, be far, the easiest things I have EVER put together. Everything was labeled perfectly and the instruction booklet RAWKED! Each page was one step and very clear pictures of the process. In fact, the hardest part of the whole thing was trying to keep little man from tearing apart all the Styrofoam to little bits and pieces. And had his brothers been able to occupy him, the time it took to put together would have been a lot less. It took me around one and half hours to put the hutch together and about 2hrs for desk. Keep in mind, I did this all by myself. One of the nice things is that the desk’s drawers already had those little rails on them which made it so much easier and faster. Most desks I’ve put together don’t, and having to make sure you put them on the right way can be a pain.
I got it all done and was so impressed with the quality and beauty of it. The top of the desk has leather on it and was just a bonus to an already beautiful desk. There is ample storage so no problems hiding all my crap. I still have to transfer over some of my desk belongings but everything has its’ own place.
5 stars and two thumbs up from me! I love it and it would have been worth every penny even if I hadn’t saved any money!

Oh, it’s gorgeous! Now can it stand the test of time? You have to post and after after photo in about a month and we’ll see if you’re still organized. :P

That’s GORGEOUS! Love your choice of desk. And it looks so nice and organized now. :-) I did a mini desk makeover (more like a Clean Sweep, lol) on Saturday as part of the In Place Organizational system review. It’s so nice to have an orderly place to work, isn’t it!?

It really IS purty. And you did a much better job at putting yours together than I did of putting my desk together recently. If you don’t look too close, you can’t tell that I messed up on one of the drawers and it’s crooked! :)
