Okatai Has Gone to Horse Heaven
Many of you asked the status of Okatai and I am sad to report that he had to be put down. Because of the severity of his wound on his right leg, it caused him to put too much weight on his left, which lead to other problems. I won’t go into details but I will say that he was in severe pain, unable to stand and we could not bare to see that at all.
Rest in peace Okatai.
I’m sorry to hear about your horse. He was a real beauty and I was hoping he would pull through.

WAH! Poor baby, but at least he’s not hurting anymore. I’m so sad. I’m one of those people who cries when the horses die in movies, not so much people. So sorry to hear this.

I’m sorry. I was really convinced he would overcome it all that day I saw him prancing around the pen, he felt good. At least he had some wonderful TLC before he left, y’all did a great job!

I just want to thank everyone for their kind words. It’s a sad situation for both the horse and us. We lost a good chunk of money as well. *sigh* Poor lil fella:(
Oh no! That is so sad! I was really hoping he would have gotten all better. Those little ones always heal fast!! But if it started other leg issues in the left leg, then it probably was the right thing to do. I bet he is happy running around now!!
