A few weeks ago, The Third Annual Tom Butler Memorial Bronc Ridin’ went on. I happen to go this time just to see my nephew in his bronc ride, however, he got bucked off and I won’t be sharing pictures of that. Instead, I will be telling you a little about this event and what part you can play in it.
While this originally started as a way to pay tribute and remember the kind hearted, all around talented Tom Butler, the founders quickly realized that they could do much more with it by rewarding scholarships. Because Tom was blessed with so many scholarships, Kelly (dad) – Traci (mom) – and Pat (son) knew that collecting money for donations would be a great way to pay it forward. In order to do that though, they needed ways to raise the money. One of the ways that came to mind was clothing with the Tom Butler Logo on it. That small idea turned into a new trend among cowboys and cowgirls and everywhere you looked you saw hoodies, shirts, and yes..even caps on every man-woman-child. That’s what I call love & support now!
What can you do?
You don’t have to do anything of course but show up at the 4th Annual Bronc Ridin’ (TBA) and give your support by hootin’ and hollerin’, but if you are so inclined, you can make a purchase online for the one of those snazzy shirts, hoodies, or caps. If you’re a company wanting to help out and perhaps get your own self some buzz, submit a cash or product donation for the 2009 Tom Butler Memorial Bronc Ridin’.
With the holidays approaching fast, we’re all running around trying to buy those presents for everyone. Well this year, try something new like helping a family or organization and contribute to those who need and deserve it.
With all that said, here a few photos I took from the stand.
