Both can get expensive - but I shop the clearance racks mostly. You can also check online on eBay for their stuff. Lanes has more Gap-like (casual) stuff and Torrid is more colorful with sparklies and skulls although they have more subdued stuff also. :) I do Lane Bryant (believe me, all the stores I shop at have the adorable big girls working thankyouverymuch, lol) and Torrid.
