I would say 2 million, that way I could pay off all my stuff and would be willing to start over on my blog. But I would still ahve a hard time selling.

Actually, this is a debate we are praying over right now. We’ve had an offer and are in the ‘What if?” phase. I already am syndicated out in a few places, and if one of them wanted to bring my blog under their fold and have me blog there for them, I might be willing to sell and take a salary/percentages. 100% depending on the site and if it fits my voice and niche without asking me to become something I’m not.

But end my blog altogether, walk away and do something else or start again? No, I don’t think I could do that. In fact, a good deal of panic rises up inside at that thought!

The thing that makes it most attractive to me is the ability to give someone else the administrative aspects to handle–all the coding errors, and tiny details that eat up so much time as your blog grows into something bigger!

I would sell Party Planning Professor as long as they continued to give ideas and not just push products. There is a little Madonna in me that would like to create and re-invent myself and my blog. I totally know that I am not the only party planner out there and that I could be the person to build from scratch and help the vision get started and someone else has the ability to keep it going. I am a good “make it happener”!!! I wish I could create more often.

Good conversation! I’ve been working hard on my blog for over 18 months, but really, if the offer price was good, I would consider selling. The price would have to more than make up for any potential brand income in the years to come though. And I would quickly start another blog. (Maybe become a serial blog entrepreneur?)

Would I sell any of my blogs? Yes… I have been thinking of selling 1 business (domain, brand, etc) and the blog that goes with it.. but not necessarily together. The struggle I have is how do you value it? For the other 2 blogs… most likely I would not. 1 is a personal blog and the other is where I store my recipes ;)
