Sleep is for the Weak

EDITED: This giveaway is over!

which means I’m strong because I totally don’t get any sleep! It takes a lot to  do what I do, write for who I write for, and blog for you. I got this book, Sleep is for the Weak, at the Blogher conference. I started reading it on the flight home and was instantly hooked. It was extremely comical, serious, inspirational, and times that brought tears. These women are real and I’ve had the pleasure to meet many of them, and they’re are quite a few authors.

Here is the list:

WHEW!  This book is broken up into small sections (each author) which is great for us women who don’t have time to sit down and read an entire chapter.  I mean, we’ve got laundry to wash, kids to chase, horses to tend to and father-in-laws to entertain;)  I absolutely love the book and I want you to get it and read it too.

I’d love to win this – if only to give away to one of my mom friends. I really think she’d enjoy it.

Last book read, huh? I’m in the middle of about five books now. I think the last one I finished was Stephanie Klein’s Moose: A Memoir of Fat Camp. Before that was my book club read: Snowflower and the Secret Fan.

I used to love to read all the time. I like Ann Rule, VC Andrews, and Stephen King, of course. But I have been so busy with the kids lately that I just don’t have time for myself anymore. I have 6 kids! LOL I read Captain Underpants to the 6 year old whom said she’d die if she couldn’t read it. So to stop her from death, I read to her instead. She only paid attention for 5 minutes at the most. But I was actually craving more… LOL I know, I put it down and harrassed my hubby instead. So as you can see, I need someting entertaining to read for myself! Thanks!

Hey, thank you so much for doing this! I don’t actually work at Chicago Review Press – wish I did! But I don’t mind people thinking that – har. I’m so glad you enjoyed the book, and thanks for your support.

This book sounds great! Would love to read it! I’m reading “My Sister’s Keeper” by Jodi Picoult. I just started it and it’s my first time reading this author, so I’m a little curious how it will be.

Great giveaway ~ thanks for offering it!

The last book I read was by Jen Lancaster, “Bright Lights, Big Ass”. I actually have a copy of SIFTW and loved it, there are some amazingly talented ladies. But I am hoping to win your autographed copy so I can do a review and give one away, because I want to keep an autographed copy for myself. ;)

Alright, you’re not allowed to laugh. The last book I’ve read, I’m still reading. It’s “Little House on the Prairie”. It’s our read aloud book for our homeschool!! We’re about half way through and I love it as much now as I did when I was my daughter’s age.

In the non-fiction realm, I just read Leah Hager Cohen’s book : Glass Paper Beans on the nature of common things. For non-fiction, my last read was Lisa Scottoline’s book: Daddy’s Girl. Both were quite good! Rachel L, all of Ngaio Marsh’s books are great ! Elaine, there are many books in the Little House series – do read all of them to your children! The first one is Little House in the Big Woods. I’ve read the series many, many times! Good luck everyone!

I can’t really remember the last book I read. I tend to pick up books, read a chapter, get distracted, and then do something else, so probably the last thing I read was some chick lit novel (I think maybe one of the “Shopaholic Books”) because it’s pretty easy to get back into. Plus, between work, home life, kids, and everything else, I just haven’t had the time to really get into anything, which is a shame because I love to read!

Ohhh…I *heart* books! Especially those that come from people that I kinda sorta almost know! The last book I read was Sarah Lacy’s Once You’re Lucky, Twice You’re Good. With these kids “helping” me, it took me all summer to get through it! I hope if I’m lucky enough to win this one, I’ll get through it a little faster.
