No, I haven’t done a show yet because frankly, I’m a little skeered!  I’ll be scheduling one soon enough though and hope that you guys all listen in when I do have one so that I don’t look like a total loser talking to nobody…capeesh?

Honestly, I don’t know how I’m going to do these shows but I’m hoping you all support me and make me laugh with the chat feature when you see that I am freaking out:)

I’ve been wanting it for travel mainly.  When I went to blogher, it was such a pain to carry a purse, laptop bag, swag bag, etc so being able to throw this in my purse is gonna RAWK!  It will be especially handy at the airport as well for all the upcoming conferences that I’ll be attending.  WOOT!

The only real drawback in my opinion is that they don’t come with a cd-rom drive but for me, that’s no big deal.  I rarely use one anyways and if you find that you absolutely need one, you can buy a portable one that hooks up to the USB port.  Another plus is the price!  Computers are getting fairly cheap for the most part but you can’t beat a price tag of $350 for a powerful little portable pc!  This one has XP..thank goodness because I honestly can’t stand Vista at all.

After about an hour of crying, me and Kim decided I needed a small break to gather my thoughts and just breathe. That’s when I make the quick video. Once we got started again, I cried a little on and off but finally calmed down during the caramel highlights. And then once they started stylin’ it, I just closed my eyes and waited.

When I opened them, I was looking for me because I sure didn’t see ME in the mirror. I was shocked at the difference!! I couldn’t believe how extreme but beautiful it was. It was the first time in my life that I felt hip and pretty. I loved it! It sorta gave me this new confidence.

So thank you to Kim for cutting, stylin’, and dealing with this crybaby! Thank you to Debra, Nandy, and Kristie for helping!  Ya’ll were great!  And of course to Wal-Mart for giving me this opportunity that not only gives me a great profile picture, but has given me a new outlook on myself and what I can accomplish.

Finally, I must thank Kathy for taking the photos.  Exceptional and I’m proud that she’s my Aunt and made me feel comfortable throughout the shoot!! :)

If you recall, I just posted my before and after pictures and pointed out that I have had the same hairstyle and LENGTH for over 17yrs so you can only imagine how hard it might be for me to cut my hair off and accept the change.  And if you can’t imagine it, here’s a quick glimpse of how I was feeling. Yeah, I laugh at it now but not at the moment……

Anyways, what I love about being apart of this super huge retail corporation is that I get to share my thoughts and opinions about things that are important like saving money.  With today’s economy, I think we can all stand to save some bucks here and there.  Of course this is also something that will bring me exposure…I know that sounds selfish but after a year and half of working on my blogs and brand, I feel it’s deserved.  I’m absolutely honored to be amongst a brilliant group of ladies and adore them all.  While I know most of them, a few of them I will need to get to know more and I can’t wait!

I realize many have some concerns with Wal-Mart but from what I’ve heard from the group already, they really care about what we think and are striving to make their store and employees the best that they can be.

This is a wonderful opportunity and I can’t wait to see what the future brings!
