FOOTBALL

First off, I gotta say congratulations to the Highland Hornets on their win against Woodson. I’m proud of them as I know everyone else is.  They played a really good game!  Highland plays next week against Walnut Springs and I know that no matter the outcome, they’ll play hard and do their best and that’s all we can ask of them.  WHERE: Highland vs. Walnut Springs @ Early, Friday Dec. 4th @ 7:30.

And to you fans….it’s always great to see the Hornet pride so next week, when we do the wave, please stand up and wooooo when it’s your section’s time.  We 3 crazy Hornet gals can’t do it alone;)

P.S. I also want to give a shout-out to our announcer for all our home games. He’s always very positive for both teams never acts like he’s biased even though I’m sure he wants his Hornets to win.  Thanks so much!

TRADE DAYS

Remember where the Walls Outlet used to be? Well that’s the home  of the new Sweetwater Wild West Trade Days!  I love trade days, flea markets, and everything in between so I’m truly excited about this addition to our town.  The first trade days kicks off on the first weekend in December and then every first weekend of the month after that.  It’s said to have lots of vendors, good food, and great deals!  I can already foresee some people getting wonderful gifts for this holiday season.  Hope to see you there!

ARTS & CRAFTS

December 4-6 marks the annual Arts & Craft show here in Sweetwater, TX, to be held at the Nolan County Coliseum.  Another place to find great gifts I’m sure and I’m excited to go to this too!  I’ve never ever been so I’ll be there taking photos and shopping my heart out.  Hope to see you guys there too.

Finally, I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and shopped your hearts out on those big sales!  Until next week folks……………..

We are huge football fans around here and we love it all from 6-man football to the Pros.  My husband was a heck a player back in his day and has several trophies at his old school that have his name on them.  My kids play now and my toddler breathes the game.  He has over a dozen footballs and even sleeps with one.

Anyways, we were really proud of how are oldest played and thought I’d share a few pics of him, my man, and my father-in-law who, of course ,were all at the game:) He’s NUMBER 13 WOOT:)  I love six-man football!

The gals that are true fans!!!

It was homecoming night.  He was the only one that had to walk two girls out.

Me and my oldest…yep, blurry thanks to my man.

First, you need the supplies.

• Hanes Toddler Boy 3 Pack T-Shirts
  
• Avery-Dennison Clear Avery Iron-On-T-Shirt Transfers
  
• Iron, printer

So basically, all I did was find a football picture of Tyler and since I’ve only seen him practice, I used one of those that I took.  Then I found a football font that was more kiddiefied.  I used my simple free paint.net program and made my design on a standard 8 1/2 x 11 template.  I used my trusty AdesClrPicker and went to the Hornets website to get the exact green they use, which is a perfect match!  I created a front and back design using big brother’s football number on the back!

Yes, I do have Adobe Photoshop CS3 but sometimes it’s much easier and quicker to use this paint program.

After the design is finished, print it using the “mirror” option and cut around as close as you can to the design.  Iron on as instructions state and within a few minutes, you have a cute little “hornet”!

Just in case you’re wondering, the Hornets won 61-24…..Do I smell a skunk? Bwahahahahah!  I was worried at first glance because some of them boys on the other team looked like they were taking prohormones or something.  Big fellas!
