Now even though I LOOOOOOOOVE makeup, I’m still very challenged with application and colors so my favorite thing about this quad kit, is that it tells you exactly where to apply each color; base, liner, lid, and crease.

My friend really likes the eyeliner.  This is very new to me and I was scared of it at first but now I’m really really liking it!  It goes on smooth but you do need to wait a second for it to dry.  It lasted much longer than my current liner too.  In fact, I still had it on the next day! LOL What type of liner do y’all use?

Mascara – It’s hard to find a good one but this was  another that my friend loves and uses and after trying it out, I do too!  I didn’t have any issues with it at all and there are some out there that make my eyes itch.  This was stayed on, made my lashes look fuller, and no clumps.

Finally we have lipstick.  I normally prefer something with a little more color to it but this was a nice color for everyday. I know that the nude type looks are in but I’m ol’ fashion I reckon.  I need color..or at least some shimmer to with such a light color of lipstick.

Overall, I liked everything but my favorites were the mascara and the liner.  I loved that the shadows had the wording on them too, I’m just not sure if I loved the shimmer of them.    Do you guys ever step out of the box and try new colors or pieces?

Not only does Avon carry makeup, it also carries beauty products for your hair and cool insulated bags like this one to keep your cosmetics cool!  How neat is that!?  If you’re like me, you might even hide a stick of High School Musical Lip Balm but sshhhhh, don’t tell anyone;)  They key to shopping at Avon is to wait for the specials and sales!  Oh, and they still carry that Skin So Soft that really does make your skin soft but also keeps the skeeters away!  In fact, they’ve even created the actual bug aerosol!  Be sure to check out while you’re there:)

2)ELF COSMETICS

I LOVE Elf cosmetics because they always have the most fun products for super cheap!  And I mean cheap!!  You can find items for $1!!!  You can’t beat a dollar folks unless you’re at a garage sale and if you are, well, apply at your own risk;)  They have the cutest gloss sets with just about every color out there.   This is probably my most favorite place to shop for cheap stuff.   You could really put together some cool little gift sets for a friend or your niece!  If you’re an aspiring makeup artist, you might want to consider a starter master set for $100.  It’s LOADED with goodies!  LOVE IT!

You can buy mineral makeup just about anywhere but E.l.f cosmetic’s price will be hard to beat.  If you choose to spend money on something, it should be the brushes.  Cheap ones can irratate your face easily and don’t last at all.  If you decide you really want to go with Bare Escentuals but are short on cash, I suggest eBay!
