I’m so excited that the Western Heritage is finally here. Not that I enjoy walking around in the 90′ degree weather for 6 hrs looking at the same things but I enjoy the chance to interact with other ADULTS! This is
something that I don’t get the chance to do too often so I’m ready to live it up!
My brother-in-law is in it again just like last year so it’s always fun to watch the rodeo and get to see your family in it. I’m sure my man misses those good ol’ days of rodeoing with his bro. Too bad, so sad;) They also have chuckwagon meals, cowboy poetry, lots of kids activities, ranch horse competitions, and more! I personally love to just browse the vendors and see what’s new for the year. I’m sure I’ll come back with all kinds of goodies!
Anyways, this like our “family vacation”. It’s the only time that we are gone for a little longer than the weekend and get to see everyone we know. I’m really lookin’ forward to everything except for figuring out what to wear:( I hate trying to stuff myself into certain clothing….blah. Hopefully I won’t need any sort of acne treatment before I see everyone either!
So, we will be leaving on Thursday. I’m telling you this because I won’t be posting much until Monday. If I get time, I’ll post pictures while I’m there but don’t count on it. Hopefully I’ll come back with some fun stories and cool pictures of drunk cowboys;)
Fingers crossed that my new Dooney & Bourke handbag gets here before I leave!!!

I can not say that I’ve ever been to a rodeo but if I ever get the opportunity to I will – I could put it on my “I did something new list”, and it sounds like it would be fun anyway. :)

Lori! I talked to my mom last night & she reminded me that Western Heritage is this weekend. I won’t be able to go – first time to miss it in more than a decade! Can you believe? We used to really enjoy this weekend, but it’s been a good while since we went. It was always hard to get away since we were running the ranch alone. This year I’ve got a baby shower on Saturday and we’re starting our Spring Works on Monday. Enjoy, and have some extra fun for me!
