Actually seeing yourself on the TV screen, working out really is the coolest thing and seeing myself fat actually motivates me to do those moves faster, better, and more powerful. i just bought a wii yesterday, it’ll be delivered tomorrow. i got it for the wii fit but i’d love to try this game also.
i’m currently undergoing chemotherapy and can’t go anywhere germy like gyms or classes and it’s a bit bad weather to work out outside so my goal is to maintain at least some of my muscle strength with some low key indoor exercise while i’m undergoing my treatment.

Goals: To get off my butt more and moving. I really just need to do a better job of moving, and I’d like to have some definition/tone again. We bought Wii Fit Plus in hopes that I’d set up some kind of workout, but after working out in a gym my entire life or cross country running, it fails at engaging me, and I just feel like I’m moving, not exercising. This looks much more personalized and like an actual challenge.

I started 2 weeks ago and have lost 10lbs already, amazing all with no cravings! I can’t believe how much more energy I have now that I am eating right and I’m ready to begin the exercise portion. With 3 kids and a husband who works 12 hour days, exercising outside the home just isn’t an option (none of you facilities offer any type of childcare) I’ve had my eye on Jenny for a while, but just can’t justify spending the money on it, since eating healthy is already making a hit in our budget!

I am writing on behalf of my significant other. He is 24 years old and an amazing individual. My dad told me the other night that people like him aren’t very easy to find in this day and age. To fill you in, hi bio- he has always been a good big brother to his younger sister and caring son to his mother and has also been a rock in everyone’s life path he has crossed. He played basketball, track, and football in high school and was loved by his teammates and his coaches. He plays in his church softball league and they love the young wind and spirit he brings to their team. He went on to college and played football for 3 more years until he became injured. In the spring semester of his senior year he went and studied abroad internationally. While he was away he spoke to his dad on the phone (he was calling to wish his mother a happy mother’s day) and he noticed something seemed wrong with his dad. He called his mother’s cell phone to warn her and when she returned home from church she found his father unconscious and he died 5 days later. The doctors gave him the wrong medication. It has been 2.5 years since he lost his dad and he has internalized all of his grief and pains. Yesterday he admitted to me that he is depressed and has been for some time now (despite the fact he still has been continuing to smile for everyone and work hard at his job and in his relationships). He said he just can’t take it anymore (holding his feelings of sadness and desperation inside). His father in his later life suffered from diabetes among other issues and had a hard time keeping his weight down. Because of these facts my boyfriend worries about his own fate in regards to health. Since his football career ended he has gained 50 pounds and worries about his health constantly. I bought him the Wii for christmas as a way to incorporate his love of video games with a more active and healthy approach. Although this game seems to be geared more to a female crowd, I know he would enjoy doing some of these personalized exercised with me. It is really hard to get him motivated to be active so when I saw this sweepstakes I thought that it would be worth a try to sign up for and give it a try in our place.
Truthfully I have not seen this game before as I do not watch much TV or know much about the video game world, but I will say as part of the plan to bring back mental health and wellness to our household (to help him and support myself) my boyfriend and I are starting a holistic plan to help bring happiness back into our lives. We are planning to eat healthier by cooking at home more and incorporating more fruits and vegetables, we are trying to workout at least 3 times a week and go for walks outside together when we can, get more sleep, read books on depression together, attend therapy, and become more involved in our communities.
I go back to graduate school next week and I am worried about my boyfriend being alone during the evenings and weekends–especially with the news of his depression. I think that this game would really make it easy for him to work on his weight goals in a way that seems familiar to him- in the home and in the form of a game. He cannot motivate himself right now if it is just for himself, but a game or competition works better.

I’ve always had a problem with my weight but last year I had an unusually difficult time, while trying to lose weight before my wedding in august I got hurt at work and broke my coccyx. Being out of work and confined to a couch for 3 months made it almost impossible to eat right and exercise. I’ve had back problems since and just recently got a wii to try to help my recovery. My goal is to lose the love handles (HA! Been fighting that one for YEARS!) and get my stomach toned and legs toned again! I used to have “million dollar legs!”

My goals in terms of fitness are to eat healthier as well as have a more common exercise regime. I am currently in college, living in an apartment, and have little to no time to do exercise outside of my home. It would be great to have a “game” such as this to help in exercising at home! I have been trying to eat more fruits and veggies, as well as make more smoothies to aid in my weight loss goals (trying to lose 10 pounds!)
I’ve seen the “game”..one of my friends has it and LOVES it! It seems to actually work too, considering she told me she uses it at least every other day!
