Texas Pecan Pie Brownies

Ingredients
  • 1 chocolate cake mix
  • 2 eggs, I might try one egg next though, to make it more fudgy.
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 1 stick unsalted butter, (1/2 cup)
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 2 cups Fisher Nuts Chopped Pecans
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350'. Mix the cake mix, eggs, and melted butter together and pour in cake pan. Bake for 10 minutes.
  2. While cake is baking, you'll prepare the pie topping. Combine butter, brown sugar, honey, and heavy cream in saucepan. Stir over medium heat and simmer for a minute or so then stir in pecans.
  3. Immediately pour the pie topping over the brownie batter. Put back into oven for another 10 minutes or until done.
  4. Allow to cool completely. Use a sharp knife to cut.
