It’s not uncommon, here in Texas, to get our BBQ on! Grillin’ and chillin’ is often our slogan for the summer and this evening, we made some mouthwatering jalapeño cheese bacon burgers! I don’t know about y’all, but around here, we love to try new things with our burgers! My cowboy came up with this one himself!
We have had some crazy rain and storms in these parts of Texas and with the rain blowin’ horizontal, it sure made it hard to grill anything. Nevertheless, my husband remains steadfast with his cookin’ and was determined to try this recipe he’s been conjuring up in his head. It’s 6 ingredients total and like everything else I make, it’s always easy to make.
We bought the VELVEETA® Jalapeño, aka Liquid Gold, with a bite! It was just the right touch for our burgers and combined with the BBQ sauce, it really had some nice flavor to it.
My cowboy is a little more adventurous than I am when it comes to trying new food but I gotta admit, his burger recipe was pretty darn good! You can serve with all the fixins’ but I chose to savor the flavor of the cheesy jalapeño, bbq sauce, and onion. Hope y’all enjoy as much as me and my crew did!
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 8 ounces VELVEETA® Jalapeño
- 8 slices of bacon, cooked & crumbled
- 1 packet of dry onion soup mix
- ½ cup BBQ sauce
- Hamburger buns
- Mix the bacon, onion soup mix, and bbq sauce in a bowl with your ground beef.
- Form two thinner patties, adding a slice of VELVEETA® jalapeño in-between the two patties.
- Grill until done! YEEHAW!
