Cow and calf and by the looks of her, she ain’t gonna let you get close! So you best back off ‘cause the last thing you wanna do is make her mad. She’s aiming to protect and she’ll charge you in a heartbeat, and I’m not talking about Visa or MasterCard.
That sweet little calf stuck by her mama in the days that followed. I watched as she grew steadier on her legs til she got the confidence to wander off a little bit. Still her mama watched her like a hawk.
There’s a cactus behind this angry cow. I kept hoping she’d come a little closer to me to move away from it. But, I was in her territory, her personal bubble, if you will. She didn’t like that at all, but I snapped this photo and backed away slowly.
I’m Lori and I take photos of Texas farming and ranching, with its range of longhorns and horse, then I blow them up to be artistic images of country life, great for western decors. And, for people to know that there’s still such a thing as a modern cowboy.
