When you live in the middle of nowhere Texas, you don’t get to town to grocery shop as much as others do. It’s imperative that I take every initiative I can to make all my food last longer, especially produce. That’s why I was so excited to partner up with Rubbermaid and try out their FreshWorks containers! We live 30 minutes from the nearest town so I can’t aways run to get fresh produce so I usually buy in bulk and we either try to hurry and eat before it goes bad or it goes bad. I hate to waste food y’all!
The FreshWorks containers claim to keep produce fresh for up to 80%* longer than not using the containers. Does it work? I’m here to tell you that YES, yes it does!!! It was so exciting because blueberries tend to go bad really fast and that lasted for days! Our cherry tomatoes were bought over a week ago and still like fresh! I’m so sold that I’ve bought even more FreshWorks containers for ALL my produce!
These sizes are very generous! The large holds A LOT of grapes!
Some things to know about the FreshWorks Produce Containers:
- FreshVent membrane never needs to be removed or replaced!
- Condensation on the inside means the product is working!
- All components are dishwasher safe.
- BPA FREE
- It’s best NOT to wash or cut the produce before putting it inside the containers.
It’s so important to us for Truett to eat more fresh fruits & vegetables. I love how well these work and plan to use them from here on out!

I would store our fresh veggies and fruits on our camping trips, maybe they will last longer than a day or two.

Will be trying to get these containers. Big fruit and veggie eater. But what about banana’s. That is my problem. I don’t like them real ripe and just me making banana bread seems a waste. Help!

I have been looking at these containers for awhile now. Wondering how much better they work than others. I would use them for organic carrots, grapes, cherry tomatoes, mini cukes, strawberries, and lettuce.

I also live 30 minutes to the store to buy fresh produce. I run a daycare in my home and I like my kids to have fresh fruit and veggies.

I would love to try the large size for the bags of leaf salad fixings that usually go bad the day after buying them. I am wondering if you would need to wash it before using the Rubbermaid container so you could eat it pored right from the container? thanks for hosting the giveaway :)
