Adding a Little Spice to Your Game Day

By A Cowboy's Wife | February 4, 2011

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of TABASCO® Original Red. All opinions are 100% mine.

When you need a little kick in your food, Tabasco Sauce is the way to go.  I think some folks tend to relate it to “hot” but the truth this, it’s only hot if you use a lot. ha!  It consists of such simple ingredients but truly enhances the flavor of the food it’s being poured on or used in.

I’m a pretty plain gal so when they fancy up traditional goodness, I usually avoid them and go with the basics.  So take TABASCO® Original Red .  They have other flavors but my favorite one is the original and it’s pretty fantastic on a pulled pork and slaw sandwich.  You might think I add it to the pork but I actually add it to the slaw.  It gives a kick and just enough peppery taste that it’s a perfect fit.

If you want your Pizza Perfected, add some smoky cheese and some of the Tabasco sauce.  It’s a match made in heaven!  Really great for several kinds of pizza but regardless of the pizza, I recommend a smoky cheese.  I’ll probably make mini pizzas.  My teens seem to like them a lot and since they do like a little spice, I’ll be using the Tabasco sauce on them.

As I mentioned the other day, I like to find new, fresh ideas for game day so I think I’ll take advantage of Tabasco’s Game-Day Party Menu and see what I can come up with.  If you need a few ideas, check it out.  There are gobs of recipes and even drink recipes which I never really thought about but might try!

Do you have any recipes or food favorites that uses good ol’  TABASCO® Original Red?  If so, share them in the comments. I’d love to hear what they are. And if you haven’t, tell me why?  I’d love to know that as well.
