Did the Cowboys Just Beat the Superbowl Champs While I Ate Dip? #gametime

BOOYAH GIANTS!!!!  Me and my husband have been waiting for the season opener, for what seems like forever, and of course, it had to be our Dallas Cowboys opening up against the superbowl champs.   Since we also play fantasy football, we were really keeping our eye on Dez Bryant who didn’t get near as much play but still scored us a solid 9 points. I love #gametime!

Since it was just three of us, we decided on hamburgers and dip.  I decided to use my nifty 3 pot crock*pot and make cheese dip, spinach dip, and cocktail wieners.  We threw out some football themed snickers & dr. pepper, added a Dallas Cowboys tshirt, and enjoyed the evening.  I have to tell ya real quick about the crock pot.  First, it holds a lot in those little crocks but my two favorite things about it?  It turns like a lazy susan and the cord can be pushed inside once you’re ready to put it up.  I LOVE those two things!

The spinach dip was awesome!  You can find the recipe on the back of a Knolls Spinach Dip package but it’s basically……

SPINACH DIP

• 1 carton of frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
• 1 package of cream cheese
• 1 1/2 cups of cheddar cheese (we used cheddar and mozzarella)
• 3/4 mayo (we used Kraft Olive Oil with Cracked Pepper)

Mix it all up and warm.

Truett loved the wieners and I got full on my hamburger.

What’s that??  You didn’t realize I was eating a hamburger because of the awesome touchdown pass that just happened on the TV???!!!!  THAS RIGHT GIANTS!! COWBOYS JUST WHOOPED Y’ALL!
