In New York City with some Amazing Women

By A Cowboy's Wife | January 14, 2009

I had the chance to meet up with some amazing women in New York over the past few days and I was taken away by the beauty within in the city and within these ladies.

This was my first trip ever to NYC and it was breathtaking. Not that I would want to raise children in such a town but to see the Statue of Liberty and Times Square gave me this overwhelming mix of emotions. And to top all of that off, it was shared with some of my best bloggy friends who have turned me into a big sap.

Everything-one is so diverse that you can be the person you truly want to be and not feel out of place. Or at least that’s how I felt. It was very liberating and an experience I’ll never, ever forget. I hope that I can return again and hopefully with some great friends.

Since I’ve been MIA, I’ve got tons to do so I’m keeping this short. I’ll be back with more and with a new “Finding Faith” post and a new “Operation Fatty” post. Until then, I’ll leave you with just a few photos. You can see more at my photostream.

It was so amazing to spend the last three days with you in the Big Apple… I was honored to be there with you!!

You’re wrong about one thing – We didn’t turn you into a “big sap.” We see you for who you are and love you for you. You have a light in you that we have the privilege of seeing… Let it out, girl!!

    Hugs, Dawling!

Cool pics! NYC is a fun city! It’s one of those places that every American should visit at least once.

But I’m with you…I wouldn’t want to live in the “big city” like that. For a long list of reasons.

What fantastic photos. They make me wish I was in NYC right now. I really love it there. The next time you go, you should stay at The Muse (a boutique hotel in Times Square.) It is fantastic- huge by NYC standards. My son is heading to NYC with my parents and brother for the Big East tournament in March, and I am so envious!
