Simple Ideas for a Rockin' Guac Party

By A Cowboy's Wife | April 13, 2015

Consideration was provided by ConAgra, opinions are my own, always.  That’s how I roll.

We love this time of year.  The sun shines longer, the flowers are blooming, and we cookout more often. It’s a time of year where we can invite good friends over to enjoy a game of horseshoes or just kick back with some music, food, and drinks.   I wanted to share some tips and ideas with you for hosting a fun spring get-together and what two of our favorites are for a rockin’ party!

MUSIC

We love to use a bluetooth speaker and play music.  We usually keep it lower in the background but love having the option to turn it up and dance a jig.  Depending on the theme of the party, we create a playlist of popular favorites and just let it play!

TABLE SETTING

We don’t do anything too fancy in this department.  We like to mix colors up and make it a little vibrant but I never go out and buy special pieces.  We save that money for the food and beverages!   A simple way to decorate is to use colored hand towels that you probably already have.  Add in some contrasting plates or mini bowls (mine were yard sale finds) to serve food on and you’ve created a colorful, fun table setting.

FOOD & BEVERAGES

Living on the ranch, you know beef and beer will be part of the menu. It’s a given.  I try to offer dip and finger foods for snacking until Mr. Griller finishes our food, but no matter what we are cooking up, one thing is for sure, RO*TEL and Bud Light Lime-A-Ritas will be included.  If you’ve followed this blog for any length of time, then you know RO*TEL is an ingredient I use all the time!  And the Bud Light Lime-A-Ritas give the whole Margarita feel, making our party fun and festive!

RO*TEL's Rockin' Guac and Bud Light Lime ritas

Zest up your fiesta with RO*TEL’s Rockin’ Guac and Bud Light’s Lime-A-Rita.  What’s Rockin’ Guac you ask?   It’s pretty fantastic and has a kick to it.  They are the perfect pair and a must for your next party!  Here’s a quick look at RO*TEL’s Rockin’ Guac recipe and next week, I’ll share it full with pictures, printable recipe  and all.

All you need:

  • 3 pitted and peeled avocados
  • 1 can of zesty RO*TEL® Original Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies, drained

We do too and I can’t get enough guacamole! I wasn’t quite sure how it would be with the RO*TEL but it definitely adds a tasty kick to it!
