2. Audrey from Momgenerations with “Henry and Mommy“
About the photo: I have 4 sons… I never get alone time with just 1 of them. A few weeks ago, my mother took my 3 oldest sons to her house for the afternoon. All Henry wanted to do was make pancakes. I didn’t have any pancake batter, so we decided to make brownies. Quick and easy. You would have thought he won the lottery! My husband captured a few photos of him holding the spoons. This is one of him helping me put in the eggs. I just love his face… he’s so happy!

3. Ginny submitted “Easter Baking“
About the photo: I am sure you will get a lot of photos of younger moms and their small children cooking up delicious memories in the kitchen, but what makes my photo extra special is that it represents years of “mom moments” in the family kitchen. In this photo appears my brother, 28 years old, big-shot lawyer in a major metropolitan area. Beside him, is myself a 31 year old West Texas chick that traveled 5 1/2 hours to spend Easter with my family. At this moment, we are trying our hand at cake balls…somewhat unsuccessfully, but with many laughs. I will never tire of seeing a 3 year old toddler covered in flour while sitting on the kitchen cabinet, but it is at 31 that you really count your blessings. They don’t come any better than my mom! As a small child she dreamed of baking with her children in her very own kitchen. I have learned so many skills and cooking techniques from my mom, but more importantly I have learned to love unconditionally, put others first, and cookie dough can solve just about anything! To all those who will submit photos of your infants and small children, my wish to you is that in 30 years you are still able to submit a photo of kitchen memories still in the making. It is those times that I will cherish always. Happy Mother’s Day to all!

4. Leighanna sends us “Baking Pizza with Mom“
About the photo: My five year old daughter loves to bake and cook with me. She wanted to make our pizza all by herself tonight, so I let her assemble it. We decided it was the best pizza we’ve made…because we made it together. There wasn’t a single slice leftover!

5. Louise with “Miles’ Birthday Cake“
About the photo: Baking with my kids is a difficult thing for me because I hate messes. Knowing how much the kids like it though we do something special for their birthdays. For Miles’ Birthday we all worked together to make his birthday cake. Even dad was cooking with the kids encouraging them me to relax and just have a great time with them. In this photo I was helping the kids mix up the cake batter and you can see that Miles has flour on his face.

11. Kyleen gives us “Sugar Cookies”

14. My friend Cat shared a special baking moment with “Mother’s Day Baking with the Girls“
About the photo:Â This Mother’s Day was extra special for me because I was able to share my love for baking with my daughter’s love for egg crackin’ and taste testing. Together we measured ingredients, whipped up batter and created the most beautiful Mother’s Day cake a mom could ever ask for. It’s moments like these when we’re doing something so simple together that I know we’ll always remember and cherish.

15. Meegan reflects on the past with “Christmas Sugar Cookies 2009“
About the photo:Â My three kids (now ages 5, 4 & 3) love baking and cooking with me. But this photo is extra special to me, as just 5 weeks prior to this photo I was in ICU at the hospital recovering from a ruptured brain aneurysm that bled for 5 days before diagnosis. I am so very thankful that I got to actually have this baking time with my kids. What should have killed me didn’t, and I had no side affects from it. The cookies we were baking here are our Reindeer Sugar Cookies that we set out for Santa on Christmas Eve. As you can see from the kids, they really got into it – flour was flying everywhere! This will always be a very special photo for me!

17. Jennifer sends “Hands off the Muffins“
About the photo:Â I had just made some muffins for my mom and some friends who were coming over for a ‘Crayons for Cancer’ brunch and I had prepared a nice display. My husband was taking photos of the baking and preparation that I had been doing when my daughter asked to pick her up and be in a picture with me. I saw her eyeing the muffins so I told her that we had some muffins for her and my son on a different plate. However, once she was in my arms, she went for it. A second later my son’s hand joined in the fun.

21. Ashleigh shares “Morning Cookie Time“
About the photo:Â The daddy in our home is currently deployed to Afghanistan and some mornings tend to get a bit rough with a tired mama and two little boys who miss him. On such days, we pull out the mixing bowl and wooden spoons, flour and sweetener, and we mix up a batch of something tasty. Today it was Snickerdoodles, rolled and sugared, baked to soft perfection. We giggled and kept little hands busy, enjoying the warm cookies as they came from the oven, and suddenly… all was well.
