Do you ever just wanna curl up on the sofa and indulge in food & tv for a couple of hours? Here lately, it’s ALL I wanna do. I was thinking about my favorite comfort dessert and well, my grandma’s banana pudding is all that came to mind but I didn’t have the ingredients, so this is what you get! Pretty darn good y’all! Enjoy!
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup light brown sugar
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup (1 stick) butter, melted
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ cup chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line an 8x8 baking dish with aluminum foil or parchment paper. Grease either the aluminum foil or parchment paper with shortening. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, add in the flour, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix together.
- Add in the egg, melted butter, and salt. Mix together.
- Fold in the baking powder and chocolate chips.
- Pour the mixture into the baking dish and bake for 25 minutes. Allow the brownies to completely cool before cutting.

I have made these more than a few times. Always come out great. If I take them to an event there’s never a left.
