Oh Truett…he reminds me so much of oldest brother that it’s like I’m watching Tyler grow up all over again. Truett loves horses, loves the outdoors and loves to ride. Sometimes he just pulls his little chair onto the front porch and sits and watches the horses outside. It’s the sweetest thing ever.
When the horses come close to the yard, he doesn’t care a lick whether or not he’s got pants on. He shoots outside just so he can get close enough to pet on them. If you listen closely, you can hear him whispering things to them too. I don’t know what exactly but most of the time it seems like a deep conversation by the way his hands move around.
He’s fun to watch and if you bother him during his convos with the horses, he’ll stomp all the way back and tell you to leave him alone and that he’s busy!
While Sparkplug doesn’t stay in the yard anymore, we do occasionally let him in so that Truett can pet on him, lead him around, and now check his “shoes”. He’s been watching my man shoe horses and pretends to shoe Sparkplug. If you look closely, you can see him lifting Sparkplug’s foot………
Days like this just make me smile. Absolutely precious to see how smart and independent he is.
Oh my gosh! That is adorable! My little man doesn’t seem to care if he’s pantless before bolting outside as well… : ) Sadly we only have deer and not horses and they’re not so sociable LOL
That is really a cute post. I love the over size hat and the expression as he looks back at I suppose you taking the picture as if to question or say “hey, I’m busy here Mom.” Really cute Lori.

Don’t you love how my Blue T-shirt matches my cowpoke boots?
So what that I’m in my underwear,
because I really don’t give a hoot.
I’m busy being the Horse Whisperer,
so you better just go, hurry, scoot.
I’m trying to learn it all when I’m young so later on I can write a book
and off my best seller make lots of cowboy loot.
Don’t stand behind me when I’m checking my ponies shoes
or we both may give you a toot.
Now it’s time for me to go and sit in my red rocking chair in my underwear,
because here my mom thinks I’m just too stinking cute.
