Easy Entertaining Recipes

By A Cowboy's Wife | December 17, 2013

I love when I can take something and dress it up or make a new dessert or appetizer quickly.  Every year, Walmart puts out an Entertaining Guide to help give you ideas on how to make your Christmas holiday a breeze!  Just by looking at the first page alone, it gives such a fun and easy idea of dressing a simple chocolate cake by covering the sides in Christmas colored sprinkles.  HELLLOOO, EASY and festive y’all!

You guys can find all the recipes & treats on Walmart’s Pinterest page or you can download the Entertaining Guide here.

During my most recent trip to Walmart headquarters, I had the chance to try several of these recipes out.  One of my favorites was the Fully-Loaded Mashed-Potato Pizza . It was so good and super easy to make!

What do you guys plan on putting on your Christmas menu, appetizers, desserts and all?? I’m kinda sick of turkey so I’m thinking about trying something different this year.   Share your ideas.  I’d love to hear them!

I get your emails all the time, and I was interested in this one because I am sick of turkey too. The whole family is getting a recipe that I found earlier this year for a mushroom stuffed tenderloin that I tried and loved, so I hope they will all be happy with it too. I will do a ham as well for the more traditionally minded, but I think I will have a lot of ham leftovers.
