Grab-n-Go Halloween Treats

By A Cowboy's Wife | September 30, 2012

I love Halloween treats! I’ve made Black Cat cookies, Crescent Mummy Dogs, Boo Babies, Witches Brooms, Candy Covered Mini Chocolate Apple Bites, and even a Hair Raising Cake in support of Halloween and Breast Cancer Awareness month. Let’s face it though, we don’t always have time to make these kinds of treats. In fact, I haven’t made anything in a long time because I just don’t have enough hours in the day to get everything done. Don’t fret though, because you can absolutely have a great treat without the work.

Walmart carries all sorts of Halloween treats and combined with a little Halloween decor, they can be as dressed up or dressed down as you want. First, if you head over to Walmart’s bakery, you’ll usually find a round table full of treats & goodies for the current season. We have Autumn and Halloween treats out right now. Pick up some of those kid-friendly sized cupcakes and grab some cookies. The brown cookies with orange icing are Autumn cookies but were a fit for Halloween. Are these cookies for a party you’re hosting or are they a teacher gift? Well I have two solutions to make it look like you put some effort into it without all the baking.

One of my favorite items to keep on hand is the Wilton Halloween Treat Boxes. They come with the cute Halloween stickers that are perfect for Halloween!! I keep boxes like these for all seasons so that I can grab-n-go with any ready made baked goods. It’s very simple but festive and it’s a decorative convenience for me. Just adding that little something will make the person they are going to, feel special.

Now if you’re hosting a little party, then you just need to pick up some Halloween decorations. I buy 2 or 3 new things every year and store them for the next season. I have quite a collection going and can go back to grab a piece to dress up these cookie and cupcake treats. All these Halloween items were bought at Walmart; the napkins, plates, spider throw, cobwebs, bowls, and Wilton treat boxes. I think anybody would love this setup. It’s not scary at all and very kid-friendly. Truett thought is “awesome!”.

Whether you’re hosting a party or creating a foodie gift, these ready-made Halloween treats are delicious, festive, and perfectly sized to just grab-n-go.

What are some of your favorite ready-made Halloween treats for the days you don’t have enough hours to do it all?

Always have to have candy corn at Halloween, though that doesn’t go to trick or treaters. Though this year, I’ll just buy a tiny bag and ration them. Found out I’m a diabetic, so fewer treats and less often too for me. BOO hoo. Had to put the BOO in capital letters since we are talking Halloween. LOL. I agree with you, it is easier sometimes to get the ready made treats from Walmart, and sometimes cheaper than making them from scratch. No one needs to know, unless you choose to tell them.
