How to Have Family Time When You Can’t Be Together

By A Cowboy's Wife | November 30, 2015

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of HomeTeam for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

There are many ways to stay in touch with family who are far away but the HomeTeam app is a fun, safe way for your kids to connect with their grandparents or brother who’s at college, or even mama when she’s away on a business trip.  In a nutshell, the HomeTeam app is an online service that easily allows you to have family time, even when you can’t be together!!  You can read, play games, and chat together!

HomeTeam App

Truett (my 9 year old), even after 1 1/2 years, has a tough time with his brother, Toby, being away at college.   He’s constantly asking me to call Toby or text him to see if they can play a game online together.  When I saw this app, I was like, “YES!  An app that Truett can use to stay in touch with Toby!”.  And when I say Truett can use, I mean it.  It’s that simple to use. It’s very easy to download the app, create an account, and invite family to join!  The family member will get an email with a link to download the app.  Once they have accepted the invite and have things all setup, you’ll be able to see them on their ‘My HomeTeam Contacts’ page.  We started with dad just to get the hang of things.

Once all is setup, the fun begins!  You simply choose a book or game, click on the ‘Do More’ to invite the family member to play or read with them.

I thought reading would be fun but Truett wanted to try it out by playing a game with his dad, of course.

HomeTeam App connecting

They have tons of book and game options to choose from. Truett found a whole bunch that he can’t wait to do together with his Toby!

We, as a family, find this app to be very beneficial!  You can try it for 30 days to see for yourself and after that, it’s an affordable $8.95 a month.  That’s a small price to pay to keep family closer, don’t you think?  We sure do! The HomeTeam app is easy to use.  It’s affordable.  It’s super fun.  It’s a great way to stay connected to family when they can’t be right there with you.  We give it 5 stars and two thumbs up and Truett said, “Now I can do things with Tobe while he’s at college!”.  He sure does loves his brother and I love that this sweet bit of technology allows him to be closer to him.

Panasonic hit a home run with this app!  Download the HomeTeam app now!
