Warmer weather means less hot meals and more cool drinks, sandwhiches, and desserts. A must have cookbook for the Summer season is Icebox Cakes! OMG, this cookbook has some super yummy and very cool (literally) dessert recipes. The Black Forest recipe is to die for!!!
Some of these desserts would be excellent to serve at parties. You’ll look like you’re a culinary queen/king!
I can’t resist a cookbook – I’m pathetic – you need to know I’ll be at Indigo by tomorrow looking for this book. I walked into Michael’s earlier and dang – came out with yet another cookbook. The foundation of my house is going to collapse from the weight of all these books. I think I need book therapy.
LOL..You sound like my mother! She’s a cookbook-a-holic:) You really should try this one though;)
I have 3 on there that I like.

I have always wanted to try my hands at cake making. This is a must have now! Giz, you are definitely in the right place. I wonder what your computer memory looks like? Full of recipes maybe? LOL! Hey, I’m a cookbook aholic too! Maybe we should start CAA!
It reminds me off the ice cream dessert my great grandma used to make. I still have her recipe and occasionally make it for my kids and grandson. And she passed over 35 years ago.
This last year my mom made a cook book from her B & B called Bittersweet Inn Bed and Breakfast called:
Cooking With Style
http://www.bittersweetinn.com
Which is great. She also does catering and is a fabulous Cook. I learned from her and I got cookbooks for all 3 of my daughters aged 22, 21, & 17 to have more of their favorites.
The really cool thing with it was mom called and asked about which of her recipes I wanted included.
