Cattle brands are a way to show ownership on rancher’s livestock. Today, it’s become a trend in home decor, handbags, and makes for some fantastic photography opportunities. If you recall, I have an extensive collection of cowboy china that features cattle brands. I even have a purse from years ago, that my BIL gave me, that has brands all over it. It’s just one of those things that’s always ‘in’. Colorado city has a whole wall dedicated to brands! They’re just cool y’all!
For years I have used the white, thin Corelle plates because they were light and easy to stack. When you’re feeding 30 cowboys, that makes a lot of difference in your cubbard. Well my days of feeding that many cowboys are long gone so it was time for a change. In fact, with Toby graduating this year, there will only be 3 of us in the house so we’ll definitely need to reduce the amount of plates, cups, etc that sit in our cabinets. And to boot, we have a ‘new-to-us’ house that’s pretty lonely and could use some western decor.
