Nature In West Texas

By A Cowboy's Wife | May 5, 2008

Sometimes it’s refreshing to just go outside and enjoy nature.  Of course here in West Texas, there ain’t a whole lot to look at, not like in a place like Branson Missouri but you make do and move on.   Finally, after months and months of no rain, we got a small shower.  Not much, but enough to settle the dirt.

I’m tired so I’m just gonna post some pics and let you converse among yourselves.  If you haven’t been checking out my food blog, then you’re missing out on some great prizes!  Alrighty folks, I’m outta here.

Oh, I would like to know if you think the pictures are TOO big or not?  Do you like the old size or the new size?

The only flower I could find in the pasture………

Stormy weather approaching….slowly getting dark…..

OOOOOOOOOOOO, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

Don’t get me wrong…I love the flower picture, but for the love of Pete! That cactus is HUGE! It’s been awhile since I’ve been to west Texas. I love green, but still pine for the shades of brown.

Oh yeah…tell me you’re entering some of your pics in contests! They’re really good, Lori!

My mom always has Iris’s growing in her yard back home…I am suppose to go see her this weekend. Those storm clouds sure make me long for West Texas, believe it or not, I REALLY do miss it! Thanks for posting those pictures Lori, they make me really nostalgic for home…*sigh*…
