One of 25 Texas Social Media Award Winners

A while back, I found out I was nominated for a Texas Social Media Award and after browsing the list of nominees, knew I had no chance.  So you can only imagine my surprise to find out that I (little ol’ me) actually won an award, me and 24 others.  I was uber excited to say the least and honored of course! I’m sure the judges, Internet Editor Robert Quigley, food writer Addie Broyles and technology culture writer Omar Gallaga had hard time narrowing the winners down from the big list of nominees and an even harder time to pick an overall winner so I just want to say thank you for recognizing me, my blogs, and my social media efforts.  And an even bigger thank you to the person(s) that nominated me and left such beautiful comments.  Thank you.

There will be one overall winner and that will be announced and held in Austin at the same time as SXSW, which I’ll be at with the rest of the Eleven Moms so it works out perfectly for me to attend!  I can’t wait to get my little trophy!

You can attend the awards show and party on March 15 at Ballet Austin’s downtown building (501 W. 3rd Street). The public is invited to honor and celebrate with the winners. Tickets are on sale now for the event, which will include a cocktail party and an awards show. WOOT!
