When I started my weight loss journey, I had no idea how hard it would be but I am finding things that make it easier. I load up on fresh produce every week, drink tons of water, and always keep a few convenience items on hand. When my man wants those super fattening jalapeno stuffed sausages for lunch, I can easily grab a Lean Cuisine dinner and not have regrets later. Of course I don’t JUST have a Lean Cuisine dinner. I also incorporate a small salad with it, whether that consists of Romain lettuce & tomatoes or an apple & orange salad just depends on my mood but I always add another dose of healthiness to the plate. I noticed they have another pizza version, BBQ Recipe Chicken Pizza-Wood Fire Style! YUM!! I have got to find that one for sure!

One of pet peeves about packaged food is not being able to easily find the nutrition value. When I head to the grocery store, I’m shopping for a family of five, usually with a three year old in tote, and a husband that text or calls every few minutes adding to the shopping list. I don’t have time to search a package for the amount of calories-fat grams per serving and that’s just one thing I love about Lean Cuisine. Their new makeover makes it simple to read and understand. Check it out:

By the way, I have NOT tried this one so if you have, I’d love to hear your thoughts on it. You can see how easy it is to see the fat grams, calorie count, and fiber grams. The whole design is fresh and clean and I can see the name and what’s in it easily. Maybe I’m partial to the colors too….some of which remind me of my own blog colors;)
Do you find that packaging makes a difference? And since I’m still trying some of the varieties of Lean Cuisine, I’d love to hear your favorites. As you can see, I had the pizza here (because I’ve had it for a while now and didn’t see it fall behind our beef) but I have a few others to try out like the Roasted Honey Chicken and the Thai-Style Noodles with Chicken.
Now if you’ll excuse me, it’s time for afternoon walk.
P.S. Just like the fresh design on the Lean Cuisine packages, I find that presentation matters so placing my meal on a decorative plate makes it that much more enjoyable. Like I’m fine dining….

I love lean cuisine. I stock up during sales but recently tried the roasted honey chicken one and it was very tasty Lori. You will have to try that one. i have so many favorites actually. I remember the old days when the taste wasn’t so great but they have really improved over the years. I also like the new design and colors. It is easy to read.
Enjoy your meal!
Karen
I have eaten the bbq pizza one and it’s delicious! I think the new design is classy.
I’ve noticed I can find it easier because of the colors and because it’s not as cluttered on the front. I always notice package looks. First impressions are everything, even if it’s lean cuisine.
the chicken chow mein is to die for and that’s my recommendation.
I just stumbled upon your blog and just wanted to let you know it is fabulous. You have a new reader!
that pizza looks good! I like frozen dinners lean cuisine and healthy choice are the only ones I buy though. Some can taste rubbery. And having it labeled in front is a plus!
When I first saw this post in my reader, the only part I saw was the picture of the Pizza, which at first glance I thought looked delicious! So I clicked over, scrolled down and saw the dreaded Lean Cuisine package. I’ll admit, I always avoid the diet food labels because they usually taste like cardboard with no flavor.
But my son actually got me hooked on these. I don’t know why, maybe it was the packaging photo but he always begged for the LC pizzas. Truth be told, they are actually really good. Not as great as the full fat/calorie ones but definitely better than typical frozen diet pizza.
As for the paninis, I’ve had the chicken club one and it’s pretty tasty. You just have to be sure not to overcook it or the bread becomes a brick.
Good to know Cat….I think the LC pizzas are great, especially when I’ve had some very unpleasant ones from other companies. I still have tons to try so we’ll see how the rest taste in time! And I know where you’re coming from. I remember the days where the LC wasn’t so good…they really have come a long ways though and I’m all about second chances;)
This is one of the only ones that I have not yet tried. I love several of the Lean Cuisine meals though. They are packed with flavor.
I am going to try this. I need to lose a few pounds as well. The lean cuisines get a little pricey for me sometimes though.
This looks totally healthy. I think it is a great option. Just because you are trying to lose doesn’t mean that you cannot have pizza in moderation.
yum this looks delicioso!!
