She was fiesty, hard working and I loved her grin.
She was a great cook and my most favorite food memory is her fixing us (me & her) the famous Honey Butter Cracker Sandwich! All it was was peanut butter and honey mixed together slapped on some crackers but it was so good and was our little treat.
I miss her so much but will always have the great memories and her delicious recipes.
My most favorite is her banana pudding. This has been so popular in the past that I thought it was due time to bring it out again and share it with you!
Her chocolate sheet cake is to die for and one of the cowboy’s most favorite desserts. She could make variations using strawberry, pineapple and others but sadly I didn’t get the chance to get those from her. Maybe I’ll experiment one day with the recipe.
Mexican cornbread….there’s nothing like it and she made the best.

YUM! I am eating peanut butter and honey on crackers right now! I must make that cornbread, too. Looks delish! I love your grandma! :)
Mmm, she must have been quite the cook. These all look delicious!
These all look so delicious! And what an incredible montage, thanks for sharing!
My Mamaw had some of the best recipes I can remember, too. :) I especially loved her “flat” biscuits with gravy and her soupbeans and cornbread. Yum! My other Mamaw (my great-grandmother) used to always have snacks for us when we would visit: Kellogg’s Nut-n-Honey Crunch cereal, Peanut Rolls (logs), soda pop, and anything else sugary (she sure did have a sweet tooth!) that our parents probably would rather she had not given us. Those were the days!! Thanks for sharing your grandma’s recipes with us. :)
My granddad used to make us honey/butter/peanut butter cracker sandwiches! It’s one of the few memories of him I have since he died when we were very young. Sometimes I make them for my own daughter, but not too often. As much as we love them, they’re not all that healthy. :-) I have a recipe for strawberry sheet cake. Don’t know if it compares to your grandmother’s, but it might be a good place to start:

Holla to your granny!! She could cook! It’s so great to see the passion in you too! You’re carrying on her memory well girlie! And, while I don’t really like cornbread, that looks awesome. It looks more like a meal (and I like that pan too0!!
I love it. I love that you have these recipes from her. So awesome.
Thanks for sharing! Food and cooking make such great memories, doesn’t it?
