Sweeping My Teeth with Oral B

By A Cowboy's Wife | January 18, 2013

Man, I sure am creative with my titles huh?  Do you guys use a regular toothbrush or do y’all have a battery operated one like this Oral B Deep Sweep?  I have always used a regular ol’ toothbrush so I was actually excited to try this out. I wasn’t sure what to expect really.  I have pretty sensitive teeth because they are so bad.  Dentists are expensive you know?  My grandmother had dentures by 40 so who knows, I could be on that same path.  One thing I can do now is brush & floss.

When I received the Oral B Sweep, it was pretty simple to setup.  You simply snap the brush head in place and charge.  So let me be clear here, I have NEVER used anything like this.  I’m sure you can imagine my somewhat surprised reaction when I turned on and began to brush.  There was obviously lots of vibration as I went all over my teeth and gums.   At one point, I took it out to spit, only to have toothpaste all over my glasses, mirror, and shirt.  I guess it would have been smart to turn it off before spitting and then turning it back on to finish.  But no, not me.  After all was said and done, I felt like I had come out of the dentist office with a full blown cleaning.  My teeth looked clean, my mouth felt clean, and I could absolutely tell a major difference in using this vs a manual toothbrush.   I really really like it and will continue to use it my home.    Some product info you might be interested in includes:

  • Removes up to 100% more plaque vs. a regular manual toothbrush
  • Triple cleaning action technology includes:
  • Dynamic side-to-side bristles to sweep away plaque
  • A moving power tip to penetrate hard-to-reach areas
  • Stationary bristles that polish tooth surfaces
  • Available in-stores and on Walmart.com beginning 1/24/13.
  • $15 Mail-in-rebate available on Walmart.com beginning 1/24/13.
  • Endorsed by celebrity dentist, Dr. Levine who is Dr. Oz’s dentist!

Also, if you’re wanting to learn more, check out P&G for an Oral Health Twitter Chat Jan. 24 at 12pm CT. The chat will be focused on oral health, but include info on the Oral B Deep Sweep toothbrush. It will be hosted by Dr. Levine, dentist for Dr. Oz.  this is a great way to learn more about oral health and take better care of your teeth and gums.

Is this something you’d try? Do you currently use and electric toothbrush?

Thanks for the info on this new brush. I want an electric, but the good ones cost a hundred bucks or more.
I cannot stress Sensodine or any Sensitive Tooth formula tooth paste for your teeth.
I have gone to the dentist regularly and cannot brush with out it.

I’ve been using an electric, Sonicare Elite, for years and will never turn back. I have a dental cleaning every 6 months, my dentist was able to see an immediate difference when I switched from a manual brush.
