The Good Ol’ Boys….Back Then

By A Cowboy's Wife | March 25, 2008

After Toby turning 12 yesterday, I had the urget to rummage through the old pictures again just so could revisit them when they were young, sweet, and still little boys.  I can’t believe how they’ve grown and I can’t believe how fast it’s gone by.  It makes me sad:(  Then I got to thinkin’, Tyler will be graduating when Truett goes to school……I got even more sad:(  Tyler will be all grown up and out his on his own sowing those wild oats!  I won’t be able to lecture him or hug him ’cause he’ll be all grown up.  Maybe if I could just put in one of those vehicle tracking devices, then at least I could keep up with where he’s going, but then again, I may not want to know!

Here is Tyler breaking one his first colts.  He was 8.  I was scared, in fact, I took a few pics and went back into the house.  I just didn’t want to see him growing up and doing what big cowboys do.

Then there’s Toby, our non-cowboy.  You can tell he’s really loving it up there on that big ol’ horse named Pepsi.  He never dressed the part or took interest…and that’s okay with us.  We didn’t want to force him to be be something he’s not.  He still have fun riding though.  He was 6.

Tyler again…..my man tied a piece of rope so that Tyler could pull himself up there, and he did.  He was strong.  My man looks like he needed a new shirt, rekon?  Still 8..or maybe 7.

Awwww, how precious.  My first 2 born…..thank god for pictures.

Ah yes…little boys…and they all want to grow up so quickly! It’s so nice to sit back and look at pictures when they were young and think of the silly things they did and just smile and laugh.
