Your Shape Challenge Update

First of all, I’ve done a lot of exercise programs but what I love about Your Shape is the simplicity of the moves.  They are very effective but simple.  I love the countdown clock letting you know how much time is left in your workout with in-between shots of how many calories you’ve already burned.  It’s motivating to see that, for me at least.  Another motivator was seeing myself workout in less clothing.  I mentioned to others already but I was having the don’ts and because I didn’t want to be a quitter, I took off everything but my bra and underwear. Not a pretty site to say the least but that is exactly what motivated me to continue my workout!!!!!  Now, I do my workout in a sports bra and little shorts.  Seeing yourself on the TV like that really is something now.  It’s different than the mirror to me…..You are seeing how you move, what you look like when dancing (cause I do that during the rest breaks, I dance to the music), and you see yourself getting tired.  It all just inspires me to workout harder.

The workouts are good too.  My arms have killed me the most and some of the ab workouts but I feel so good after I finish them.  And as for Jenny…while I enjoy her telling me that I’m doing good or to watch my arms, I decided to turn her voice off so that I can jam to the music.

My schedule so far is a 30 minute burn workout and a 15 minute strength workout, totally 45minutes that I must say, goes by really quickly!  And doing it in the morning is soooo much better than waiting any other time for me. I was doing it in the afternoon and that’s wasn’t working.  I get up, clean house, check emails and workout.

My starting weight was 201, I’m at 198.  Not a lot of difference but I’m hoping it’s in inches since my man said my butt feels a little tighter…of course he would know since he’s constantly grabbing it.  Anyways, I’m adding some protein to my diet since I realized I need more of it and wasn’t getting any really.  Still drinking water and ready to wake up and do it all over again.
