As much as I’m not a girly girl, I love to paint my toenails during Summer. I love trying new colors, adding designs, and always try to pick something that will compliment my skin color. With my recent tan, I just knew that the vibrant, fabulous Flamingo Flair was gonna be a perfect match my toes and personality.
Neon colors are just one of the many trends this Summer. Flamingo Flair looks like a neon coral and I just love it! The other one is Tickled Pink and then the top coat. As with most neon nail polish, this one didn’t apply “perfectly”. It’s not the nail polish really, it’s just the mixture that makes the neon color. It will take 2-3 coats to make sure it’s smooth. I also used a clear base coat, not white. This is a $4 nail polish at Walmart and in my opinion, worth every cent. I’m absolutely thrilled with the outcome of the color. It looks amazing and very Summery. And if you’re design challenged but want to kick it up a notch, try adding a simple Chevron design! It’s super easy to do and makes for an all-around trendy look for Summer 2013!
- Clear Base Coat
- 2-3 coats of neon color
- Top Coat
- Design (optional)
Okay, now you are NOT allowed to laugh at my feet. I know my toes are weird and my skin is dry but no poking fun! lol And for those who will wonder (and there will be people wondering), the red on my right foot is part of my birthmark. It goes all the way up my leg up to my knee. Without further ado, here are my neon toes! And by the way, you can even see them in the dark! Pretty fun!
Disclosure: I am an official Walmart Mom. Walmart has provided me with compensation and gift card in return for my time & efforts to create this post. Opinions are my own, always.
Your toes look awesome!! Would LOVE to know exactly what you used to make the design!
All you have to do is take a nail art pen in white and draw W’s. :)
Cute! I love the color and pop of design. And, btw, I think your feet are cute!
Sun just hit here and rumor is summer is here to stay in Seattle. Which means I’m ready to hit my daughters room and steel some cool colors for my toes too. How do you get the design? I’d ask my daughter but since she graduated I’m lucky if I see her for 4 seconds lol
Lori, you have THE CUTEST toes!
i love that you got out of your comfort zone.i wear closed toes shoes almost year around because i dont like my feet.but one day while shooping for shoes a friend convinced me to buy a pretty pair of sandals and if i wanted to wear them i had to get a pedicure.i wanted to try something new and went for the wildest bold color i could find at the nail shop and loved it.
